Louisa Road Swimming Pool
Located in a property fronting Sydney Harbour, the pool was constructed within the old slipway just above the harbour water level. The pool appears as an extension of the harbour, washed beneath the timber decking.
Teak decking, designed to weather to a silver grey, is fixed on stainless steel battens to extend right up to the waters edge becoming the pool coping on three sides. On the fourth side, recycled sleepers are used to create a planter running the length of the pool.
Dark blue mosaic tiles reflect the colours of the harbour and at the same time offset the green of the lawn and the silver of the decking.
